Ham, Fearless and brutal warrior
Ham chewed air dryed elf feet and rolls the dwarf's eyeball between his fingers. And looking at the smoking and flaming roofs of the small human village. His green, scarred face showed no expression, but in his mind still echoed the last breaths of a dying horseman and the clang of shields. Although he was now a mighty Orc, Ham, his soul was much older and more worn.
The eyeball falls from his fingers to the ground, Ham gets up and steps on the eyeball, which explodes in every direction. Ham starts following the light that shines through the forest...
In his previous life, he was known as Lalli, a man claimed by the Hashashin alliance. He was a knight — iron-willed, fearless, and deadly. His life was a chain of campaigns where he crushed enemy ranks with his heavy armament.
He participated in the Great Battles, the ones where kingdoms rose and fell. He fought his last battle with honor, but when the dust settled, Lalli had vanished. Not among the fallen, nor as a prisoner, but evaporated into thin air.
In reality, Lalli, wounded and spiritually broken, had fled the battlefield. He sought refuge in an abandoned mine shaft. There, in the cold and darkness, far from the glory of the knights and the brilliance of the alliance, Lalli slowly died in a rat hole. Not a hero's death, but a sad, lonely end.
But death was not the end. He awoke in a new, sturdier body – as an Orc. Somehow, in the darkness of death, his soul had transferred or been reborn into this new form.
Now, he is Ham. He carries Lalli's skills, especially the inclination for heavy combat and strategic thinking. But he has also learned the brute strength of the Orcs.
Ham never speaks of his past. He wields heavy weapons but feels no respect for "knightly honor" anymore. He is a memory of the Hashashin alliance, returned embodied to the very ranks he once admired. He knows that although his appearance changed, the humility and death in the rat hole redefined him. Ham is Lalli, without the honor, only the instinct to survive and the warrior's skill.
