Empire of Elgea

Overview

The Empire of Elgea strives to build a professional, mature and active community of players within itself. We are friendly and welcoming to all so long as they do not commit any act of aggression against us. We are open to NAPs and Confederations (see Diplomatic Policy). If you have any questions feel free to send a msg to the Emperor or the Imperial Chancellor, and if you want to join ask any of our members.

Diplomatic Policy

NAPs and Confederations – The Empire of Elgea is open to any NAPs offered. We will only accept confederations from those who have proven themselves trustworthy and worthy to be brothers in arms with the Empire.

Diplomatic Situations – If there is a problem between you and one of our members first contact them and try to resolve if peacefully. If that does not work contact the Imperial Chancellor. If it is not resolved then, contact the Emperor. Past that refer to our War Policy*.

*This only applies if no peaceful solution can be reached

War Policy

If a diplomatic solution could not be reached with the aggressor alliance and military action is the only option left, then the Empire of Elgea will carry out war to its maximum capacity. Any alliance that is at war with the Empire of Elgea can expect full hostility from all members with the exception of Citizens*. If a war is in progress and peace terms are offered The Empire of Elgea will hold off any military actions not already in progress, it is expected that the other alliance do the same.

*Citizens are not required, but can at their own will take an active part against any alliance we are at war with. That being said, aside from military actions Citizens are expected to carry out any other hostile aggression at their disposal against a warring alliance.

1. Actions – The actions you take should be mature and friendly, representing the Empire in whatever you do

2. Chat – Whether it be global or alliance chat be kind to those you talk to, harsh words do not make friends

3. Have a positive effect on Illyriad

4. Have fun, remember it's a game

Expected Space

Around our cities (outside of the newbie ring) we expect a 10 square radius of space, in return we will give the same courtesy to others.

Ranking System

Once you have joined the Empire of Elgea, you will be automatically ranked as a Citizen of the Empire*. If you are an active member of the Empire, you may progress in rank, to Soldier, Captain, and if you really distinguish yourself, to Consul. In order to do this, you must obtain the following population requirements:

For Promotion to Soldier, you must have reached 1000 Population and have served one month.

For Promotion to Captain, our 15 most distinguished Soliders who have obtained 5000 population.

For Promotion to Consul, you must have distinguished yourself within the alliance.

*In some special cases a new member may be assigned to a rank above Citizen

Imperial Banner System

Those under the Imperial Banner are alliances who wish to retain their independence but also owe allegiance to the Empire of Elgea. Current members are:
