We were once slaves

We were once food

We were once entertainment for our captors

We were once forced to kill each other, so our masters could entertain guests

 

NO MORE!

 

Our Lands are taken

Our tribes are destroyed

We were betrayed at the last

Sold into servitude by those we had called our friends.

 

NEVER AGAIN!

 

The Dwarvern Lords found us in one of their expeditions against the wild bands of orcs that roam the land preying on caravans and straggling troops.  They found us reduced to our most base nature, struggling to survive on the whims of savages. They were horrified, yet felt pity for our plight. They freed us, and freed all others they could find being kept by our former orc masters. We owe them our lives, yet we have little to repay them with.

They allowed us shelter in their homeland, a deed unheard of since the great reshaping of the earth. We have nowhere to go, no one to call us our kin to take us in. We have no other choice.

 

Though the choice is closed to us, we do not regret the course we now set ourselves on. We shall defend our new home from whatever my come. We shall stand by our  dwarvern liberators and shed our blood with them. We shall never waver in our solemn duty.

 

We are the Guardians of the Homeland. Never Surrender! Not one step back!
