It has been a general known and, somewhat erroneous fact, that Elves are the Supreme race in Illyriad, that they are perfect and above any other race. This has lead to widespread jealousy, animosity and hostility towards the elvish race from most of the sentient races currently co-inhabiting this world.

This has lead to a situation where, for the past several centuries, the more uncouth races of this world, namely the Orcs, Trolls, Giants and evil Dwarves have taken on a rather strange and increasingly popular hobby of capturing elves to serve as their personal servants, slaves and pets, to degrade the elves as much as they can, wherever they can.

We were once such elves, until raids by the Dwarvern Lords into territories controlled by our slave keepers discovered this crime, which was previously unknown to all the more civilized races and factions (including the more civilized orcs). They have since made it their mission to hunt down these races and free the enslaved elves (partly as a sign of goodwill to the various elvish Factions and Alliances, cause you can never get enough goodwill in the political realm).

For this, we are grateful. We cannot return to our previous tribes, since these were destroyed with our capture, so we decided to aid our liberators in their struggle to free more of our kin! We are the Guardians of the Dwarvern Lords Homeland! NONE SHALL PASS!!!
