Lore of Ember’s Hearth
Long before iron sang beneath the hammer, there was only cold wilderness and silence. Then came the wanderers — weary, frostbitten souls who carried a single coal cupped in trembling hands. They built a crude shelter around that fragile spark, feeding it with scraps of hope and fragments of memory. From that ember grew the first fire, and from that fire, a home.
Ember’s Hearth became a sanctuary where the lost found warmth, and strangers became kin. Its flames were said to burn not only with heat, but with heart — a light against despair and a beacon to all who had nowhere else to go.
Every flame in the realm traces its lineage back to that first hearth — the cradle of warmth that gave rise to the restless embers still wandering the world.
Lore of Emberforge
When the embers of the first hearth began to fade, the restless few who could not bear the quiet of dying coals set out toward the blackened hills. There they found veins of iron gleaming beneath ash, and built great furnaces to awaken the sleeping flame once more. Thus was Emberforge founded — born of stubborn will and tempered by heat. Its forges rang day and night, each strike a promise that the fire of creation would never die.
To this day, travelers say you can see its glow on the horizon long before you reach its gates — a crimson heartbeat pulsing against the dusk.
