To All To Whom These Presents Shall Come, Greeting!
My aim and objective is to build a mercantile realm without coming into conflict with any other player.
I follow the 'ten-square rule'; that is, no 'settling' within ten squares in any direction of another player's settlement, town or city. Where this is impacted by the automatic placement of towns 'in game' by 'the System', I will endeavour to reach an amicable and mutually acceptable resolution with my neighbours.
I consider the five square area around my towns, including the diagonals, as sovereign squares and mine to harvest. For unclaimed squares outside my realm, I will not send harvesters to a square where another player has begun harvesting.
Given the travelling times involved, in some instances it may not be readily apparent that a player has despatched harvesters to a particular unclaimed square, and where this results in my harvesters interrupting - otherwise known as 'bumping' - another player's harvesters, I can only offer my most profound apologies in advance for this unintended consequence.
I use a maximum of 2 Harvesters for harvesting - excepting those Animal Parts, Hides, Hearts of Darkness, and Salts that I have won through combat - as a means to try and prevent the depletion of resources.
I welcome diplomatic approaches from all Races, and if I can be of any assistance please do not hesitate to ask.
With sincere felicitations and deepest respects
Xtopherus
