Terra Guide:

In Illyriad you can have 2 accounts. Many people go with an alt as a secundary acc, but a very few go with a Terra acc. I'm one of those that go with a Terra.
My method is very simple and lazy, I don't do anything special when it comes to terras.

1st Step
The start is very simple, you just have to create a new acc, choose the race that makes the most sense for you, for me its a Dwarf since I assist my alliance the most, but feel free to choose any race, humans have solid cotters, so they can be very good terra accounts.

2nd Step
Acc created, first thing you do is to build a library lvl 1, followed by a Storehouse lvl 1.By the time that the storehouse starts to build up, you can go into your research page and queue Haggling on the Trade page followed by Timekeeping on the City page.
Now it's time to upgrade the Library to lvl 2 and then build up a Marketplace lvl 1 followed by upgrading your Storehouse to lvl 2/3. Feel free to go into the Research page again and queue up Cotters on the Trade page followed by Negotiation on the Diplomacy page.
You should still have some resources, feel free to build up some res plots, just leave 1 at very least untouched.

3rd Step
Time to start following the game guide! Check the World Map, try to find some minerals, herbs or even skysplinters and then click on the Town Map Icon and keep following the game guide until it's asked to build 1 resource of each type, at this point you will have +-500 of each resource and almost all res plots already built.

4th Step

Upgrade your Storehouse to lvl 4/5 and queue up Bureaucracy on the Research page under the City part. Wait a bit and then once the Storehouse upgrade is over you can build up whatever res plots that you didn't build yet, that should complete the game guide stage that you are at moment.

5th Step

Some waiting time starts to build up at this stage, it's a good moment to go into your main acc and ship some goods to the terra acc. The goods are: 15k Gold, 50 Books, 8 Horses, 10 Saddles, 20 Beers and 6000 of each resource. Feel free to speed up once if it's a 12h+ travel. New accounts start with 25 prestige, might as well put them to good use.

6th Step

You should receive 1000 of each resource once you build up 1 res plot of oeach type, it's a very simple task from the game guide. Make sure to update your Storehouse to lvl 6 and then some res plots, each res plot lvl 1 gives 1 pop, so you can get an easy 25 pop in total with that. I personally like to lvl up my farms too to not worry about sending food, but feel to skip it if you don't mind that, I just like to be lazy with terras. You should also have around 360 research points, so fee free to also queue up Foraging under the Trade Researches. Time to wait for those 50 books to arrive it, read them on your reading room and queue Pioneering, it's important to get this done as soon as possible. I also like to set my taxes to 0% just to not deal with food burn.

7th Step

Time to finnish the game guide, queue up a settler, queue up Architecture (it's under he City Research tab) and start working towards Storehouse lvl 10. You will need to send res to the terra account again, feel free to sped up once if it's a long travel.

8th Step

Let's start filling the city with buildings that will get you to 450 pop and also cottages that will allow you to have cotters. Cotters can be used to collect basic minerals, herbs, skysplinters and hides. You should have Foraging already, but if you dont, queue that research to start collecting goods, also confirm it that you have Pioneering and a Settler queued in your Castle. The Buildings that I like to use are, Architects Office lvl 10, Consulate lvl 11, Tavern lvl 11, Common Ground lvl 1, Paddock lvl 1, Library lvl 4, Marketplace lvl 7 ~ 10 (it depends on the amount of goods you collect in a week), 17 Cottages and 3 farms lvl 7 and 2 farms lvl 6 (This combo at tax 0% should be enough to sustain 450 pop). Queue up some horses, just enough to queue up 10 ~ 20 vans. You have a week to work on getting Bartering, Trading, Improved Loading and Reinforced Cartwheels researched.

9th Step

I hope you collected a good amount of goods and shipped those to your main account. You most likely already got the information from your terra client on which res configuration is needed, you can send your Settler to grab the desired type of sq after the 4 days of waiting time, that's why it's important to queue Pioneering asap to queue the Settler, it takes time to get ready to be moved. A very important thing is: do not build anything on the fresh city, leave it at 0 pop, so the client can just send 1 commander with 1 troop to raze it/capture it. You will be able to use your Tenaril after the Evil Rainbow goes away (7 days of newbie protection). To use the Tenaril, just click on the Castle of the 0 pop city, then click on Relocation, make sure that Tenaril's Spell of Teleportation tab is the one open, type the coordinates that your client chose to be terraformed and then click "I wish to move here". The locations needs to respect some game rules, such as a 10sq distance from any city and so on.

Final Step

Make sure that you moved to the local chosen by your Terra client, receive the payment on your main acc and then abandon the terra acc and start all over again. This process can be done every 7 days and can generate a solid amount of gold and/or prestige. Good Luck!
