The Heart of Corruption, affectionately known as Audrey, is a somewhat demonic plant mass found in Kumala. Repeated military and diplomatic sacrifices have shown that she thrives on these offerings, and when she reaches her fill, she will start visibly beating. Any further sacrifices to her temples during this time result in them converting to corrupted units belonging to the Melders faction, and these units will return home to attack. If you are (un)lucky, when these corrupted units die, they will leave behind tentacles.
Audrey has been linked to the quest for blueprints to create race-specific crafted armour, specifically that the tentacles left by corrupted units are required to progress in the quest.
Misted Lands
This quest gives you the discovery “Gnome Brew”, which provides a 5 food per hour reduction to beer production in that town. This discovery can be obtained in each town. To succeed, send 125 Advanced Spie.

Common Harvested Resources - These can be found on the map and are harvested with a cotter. One cotter can bring back 100 of any one type in a single trip.

Crafted Items - It seems that within each category (leather armour, chain, plate, sword, bow, spear) of crafted items there are sets of items. I've identified three of these sets which I identify by color as unit, biome and terrain. They are marked in the tables below with the colors shown. Each item in each set gives a bonus for a certain condition within the set. For example, in the biome set for each category of crafted items there is an item that gives the same bonus in jungle, desert or arctic. The items also give the same penalties in the other conditions for the set. Examine the sets and I think you'll see the pattern. The colors are to help group the items.
Common - It seems possible to get large (10,000+) supplies of "Common" T2 resources (herbs, minerals, hides). As such, it might be possible to outfit armies with equipment built from common resources. I've separated out those items below with that thought in mind.

Rare - I've rethought this. The harvest rate isn't anywhere near as bad as I thought on rare items. You might be able to outfit a large army with this stuff if you can find a source. A 75-100 herb patch yields at least 20-30 rare herbs/day without destroying the patch. That's 10,000 in a year which is a modest stockpile. You'll probably have more trouble making the equipment fast enough than getting the rare herbs/minerals. Still, this stuff is primarily for commanders with better bonuses than the more common stuff.
To the right of the item name are the rare resources needed to make the item (only the rare resources, not all resources). Each category is no longer divided up by animal parts and rare resources. There is too much variability in availability of any given animal part, rare herb or rare mineral to say what any given player may find more abundant. Some materials will be very abundant to many but could still be quite rare to some players and because of useability be very expensive. Other items could be very rare but be cheaply available because they make crafted items with little advantage.
