Measurement of distances:
I use the Pythagrian method to calculate distances at an angle as it's a valid method of measurement. If you're unsure how to use that method then Calculator.net has a pretty good calculator available here: https://www.calculator.net/distance-calculator.html
Harvesting policy:
I claim only resources within 5 squares of my cities but I don't mind if someone harvests basic resources (i.e. stuff you can harvest with basic caravans) within that radius. However, please ask before gathering advanced resources (i.e stuff that requires cotters, miners, skinners, etc.) within 5 squares of my town.
Hunting policy:
I don't mind people hunting anywhere around my towns but please don't overhunt (i.e. constantly sending armies to hunt and bagging all the best game). Occassionally bagging something you really need won't be an issue just because it's near my town.
