Bjarne
Kingdom of the Phoenix
In ancient times, a legendary phoenix decended from the skies above Norweld. The elves in the area were amazed at the sight of such a creature. Evil warlords, however, wanted to catch the phoenix and harness its powers to conquer all of Norweld. The phoenix went into hiding deep within a volcano close to the border between Norweld and the Middle Kingdom. Many centuries after these events, an elf by the name of Bjarne found the phoenix during his exploration of the caves in the area. In return for its protection, the phoenix granted Bjarne the means to forge his own empire. The settlement of Artisan was created above the network of caves where the phoenix was hiding, thus making sure that no warlord would ever learn the location of this legendary creature.
Military policy
The elves in the Kingdom of the Phoenix are normally peaceful, but when faced with threats, or if it can be of benefit to them, they will ready their weapons and fight for as long as they can and with any means possible.
Foreign troops occupying a square under sovereignty by the Kingdom of the Phoenix without permission will be removed without warning. Malicious destruction of caravans, cotters or gatherers belonging to the kingdom will result in a counter attack against the culprit.
Foreign policy
The Kingdom of the Phoenix supports a free for all harvesting policy in its neighborhood. Any land not claimed by the kingdom itself or by others in the area through sovereignty or settling will be viewed as free for all.
If any neighbouring players need protection from hostile forces, the kingdom's armies and mages can be of service if necessary. Local alliances between The Kingdom of the Phoenix and individual players can be made through friend requests. A player seeking to forge an alliance with the kingdom, must have at least one settlement located 100 squares or less away from the capital city Artisan.
The kingdom's armies, mages and caravans can be of service to alliances that need it. These services come at a price, though, determined arbitrarily for each mission.
