If you've been robbed, add up all the missing units of resources and gold, and then divide that total by carrying capacities. If you get a whole number result, you've narrowed down your search for the culprit. Also, look for players around you with spikes in their diplo score. A foreign office will greatly increase diplo visibility, allowing you to see incoming diplos for a longer time, and establish the exact direction they are coming from.
