Altaira [ALT]

Altaira is a human state in the region of Meilla with Prince Tellarion at its titular head. Current day Altaira covers part of the territory that in ancient times was known as the Altairan Confederacy prior to some as yet unknown disaster that caused the total collapse of the Altairan Confederacy and has come to be known simply as “the Doom”. Perhaps it was an attack by a horde of rampaging orcs, or an evil necromancer’s powerful blight or maybe a really bad case of the flu.

In any event the Altairan people today are quite a xenophobic lot, feeling that the elves are arrogant, and that the dwarves are greedy but this has never stood in the way of trade when there have been profits to be had. Most of all however, it is the orc that disquiets the Altairan people, perhaps because of the history of interaction between orcs and humans.

For the most part Altairans believe in growth and prosperity... and the rise of humankind.
