Records of the jurney:
An fleet of skyships were sent from the spire city of Charadan on an expedition to explore the lands to the East. The elves of the high mountains built grand skyships, pinnacles of their aeronautics, to travel far and chart the unknown.

Not long after departure the exploration fleet was hit by a ferocious storm. The crews struggled against the vicious winds to keep the fleet together. The currents carried them fast to the East. Despite the efforts many skyships were separated and lost above frozen lands. A few stayed togeather but all badly damaged had to land. They crashed on the shore of a river they spotted, in Kal Tirikan.
Kairatar, the highest ranking officer alive, took command. The wreckages were scavenged and dismantled, and shelters were built in haste. They named it Valdahar, home of the lost. Grounded in the cold north of Elgea, with much of the supplies and most of the technological knowledge lost, their goal was survival.
Foundation of the Realm of New Charadan:
After the refuge Valdahar was built more scattered survivors were found and local elves started to move in as well. With survival asured they looked to the North, to the mountains of Kal Tirikan. To reach the skies again scouts charted the mountains and settlers were sent to establish New Charsdan in memoriam of the old home. As the city grew the garrison to it's South East, in the lower mountans grew as well, becoming a town of it's own. It was named Charadan's Gate as it stood on the road to the city above. Due to it's location it became the main hub for trade in the realm.
Eventually the folk of Valdahar joined their kin in the mountains after a dismantling the shelter city and carrying it with them. Valdahar grew to be a city of craftsmen and artists.
On the High Peaks a temple city was founded and was named Arakhan. All who want a communion with the sky makes their pilgrimage to it's Sky spires. Under the spires artisans and artists seek heavenly inspiration.
Harendal Keep was built to the south to guard the realm. To be a warning beacon and a fortress against threats from the South and to monitor the roaming hordes of cyclopses of Omma Monoides.
Nerindar was settled after a few of the homesick left to the West. Unable to cross the cold Wastes they built a city on the mountains overlooking it. With longing they look to the sky, awaiting the arival of other skyships from the old home. Keeping a beacon lit at all times, on the highest spire to guide them. As the city grew it spread to the lower mountains eventually splitting into Upper and Lower Nerindar.
Geldrann was built to secure a deposit of Goldstone and to be a bulwark against the threats from the North.
