A Warrior's Code
Warriors are born on the battlefield, honed, and tempered by the fight. A true warrior cannot be made in any other way. A true warrior lives for the fight, for the self-discovery that is unveiled at the end of every battle. Without an enemy, a warrior is only half alive. Warriors value their enemies as highly as they value themselves, for only a strong enemy can reveal the true warrior within.
True warriors understand that they must face warriors in battle. Those who prey on the weak and the helpless; those that bully, brag, and boast, are without honor and only expose their flaws to the world. Their hollow victories, with no meaning or glory, will echo around their empty souls for eternity.
There is no honor or glory in defeating a lesser opponent, and those that pursue such action only reveal the blemish that exists within their shriveled hearts.
A warrior’s true self is reflected in those he chooses to meet in battle. Without a worthy opponent, a warrior’s limits cannot be tested or transcended. Meeting a strong enemy in battle allows the warrior's hidden self to unfold. It is only by challenging a worthy adversary that true enlightenment is gained, for what can the weak teach us of war?
