Below is my code of conduct which I use while skinning. This does not apply to every area in Illyriad or to every situation. Neither is it an alliance-protocol. If you live in my area and find any of this unfair, please message me and we will work it out.

Skinning Code of Conduct:

1) What you own is what you kill. If I kill animals outside (near) my territory and someone else is skinning it, I will bump and then place an army on it. If it happens more often, I will reverse the order of those actions and kill the skinners. So if you see a pawprint near my towns, indicating skinners can be sent and you didn't kill it, you're better off not sending skinners or cotters.

2) I will bump skinners and cotters in my territory. I will not kill them,but I will take the loot. Unless of course I killed the animals myself, then i will kill any skinners/cotters trying to take the stuff within my territory.

3) Army camps. I will not tolerate them if they are clearly within my territory. That is pretty much within 5 sq of any town, or between my towns (some of my towns are further apart, but I still do not want armies there!). If you plan to guard your skinners with troops, better not kill too close to my towns.

4) I will do my best to respect your kills. I make coördinate-lists of my own kills and won't harvest kills I did not make unless someone made them within my territory (as said above).

 

The number of arrows on a moving unit indicates the rough speed, as follows:

  • Stationary Unit = No arrows
  • 1 arrow = 1-7 squares per hour
  • 2 arrows = 8-16 squares per hour
  • 3 arrows = 17-25 squares per hour
  • 4 arrows = 26-41 squares per hour
  • 5 arrows = 41+ squares per hour
