"As we march toward peril's hearth, our kinfolk at our sides

Each step could be our last - or first, toward kinder skies

Our spears we don, and fight till dawn

To guard the grounds we've stood

But won't have won till battle's done

And stays that way for good."

When he was old enough, Nurim left the mountains behind and set out to sea. He became a skilled sailor, learning the art of navigation, shipbuilding, and how to tame the wild waters. Over the years, he sailed across the great oceans, to distant lands where the sun burned hotter and the sea stretched endlessly. And thus in one of his travels he founded a village. It wasn’t the largest of settlements, nor the wealthiest, but it stood proudly nevertheless.

Crawler Steak

Hear! Hear, ye I say! What kind of madman would ever turn a monster into...a dish? His cart was adorned with a simple, yet intricate wooden carving of a giant caterpillar, a damn crawler. The creature itself was a terrifying beast in its natural form, capable of devouring a small village in a single night. Yet, when Barsum Ironfoot's deft hands and masterful cooking techniques transformed it into a steak, it became a delicacy that could win the hearts of even the most discerning of palates.

Now hear I say! It begins with the meticulous selection of a fine crawler speciment. Cut the steaks thin, almost translucent, to allow for the rich flavors of the marinade to penetrate deep into the flesh. The marinade itself is a mix of exotic spices , parsley , rosemary and pear cider. A few pieces of onion to add some extra spiciness. Meld them in thy cauldron for half an hour. Afterwards dip the steaks in the marinade for ten minutes straight and prepare a fire. Ye need a low fire to slowly grill the steaks , keep them tender and juicy. You shall know when they are ready when the flesh will be dyed in a golden hue. Serve alongside creamy mashed tubers or some fine fried mountain shrooms.
